This policy explains the small data files and similar browser technologies that may be used when CriminalLawyers.ge is delivered, which categories are active now, and how visitors can control them.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text record placed on, or read from, a browser or device by a website. Similar technologies include local or session storage, security tokens, pixels and software development kit identifiers. They can support basic delivery, remember a setting, measure use or connect an interaction to a third-party service.

Some cookies expire when the browser session ends; others remain until a stated expiry or until deleted. A first-party cookie is associated with the domain being visited. A third-party technology is controlled by another provider whose service has been included on the page.

2. Current status on CriminalLawyers.ge

The public website does not use behavioural advertising. It does load Smartsupp live chat and an Elfsight WhatsApp launcher. Those providers may use cookies, browser storage and device or connection information to supply, secure and measure their widgets. Hosting and security infrastructure may also use strictly necessary session, routing, load-balancing, abuse-prevention or availability technologies.

3. Strictly necessary technology

Technology that is genuinely required to transmit a communication, secure the service or provide a feature explicitly requested by the visitor is treated differently from optional analytics or marketing technology. Blocking it may prevent a page, security check or enquiry form from functioning. Its use does not authorise the operator or provider to repurpose data for unrelated advertising.

4. Forms, email and external links

Submitting a contact form or opening an email link is an intentional communication, not a marketing-cookie choice. The form system may use security controls to distinguish genuine submissions from abuse. Following a link to Matsne, a court, an authority or another external website takes you to that operator's service; its cookies and privacy terms then apply.

5. How to control browser storage

Most browsers allow you to inspect, block or delete cookies and site data, clear data when the browser closes, limit third-party cookies or use a private browsing mode. Controls are usually found under Privacy, Security, Cookies or Site Data. The exact steps depend on the browser and device.

  • Blocking all storage can break session, security or form functions.
  • Deleting site data normally removes stored choices and may end an active session.
  • Private browsing limits local retention but does not make a user anonymous to a network or service.
  • Browser “Do Not Track” or global privacy signals are not interpreted uniformly by all services; we do not use them as permission for advertising tracking.

6. Smartsupp and Elfsight communication widgets

Smartsupp supplies the live-chat interface. When it loads or is used, Smartsupp may process the page URL and time, IP address, device and browser information, widget events and anything a visitor voluntarily types into a conversation. See Smartsupp’s privacy information.

Elfsight supplies the WhatsApp launcher and may receive connection, technical and widget-interaction data needed to deliver and measure it. Selecting the launcher opens a separate WhatsApp service governed by that provider’s terms. See Elfsight’s privacy policy.

Do not type passwords, access codes, full case files or unnecessary sensitive information into either widget. Blocking third-party scripts or storage may disable the widgets; the telephone and email routes remain available.

7. Duration and data use

Session technology generally expires when the session ends. Persistent technology remains until its configured expiry or manual deletion. Security records derived from requests may be retained separately for a proportionate operational period and, where necessary, longer to investigate abuse, preserve evidence or comply with law. More information about those records appears in the Privacy Policy.

8. Changes and contact

We review this notice when the website's providers or features change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current published version. Questions about cookies or a technology observed on this website may be sent to info@criminallawyers.ge. Please include the page, approximate time, browser and the name of the technology shown by your browser tool so we can investigate accurately.
